About Danilo Cruz JrI started my hobby on photography in 1999. I was using my first 35mm AF Film SLR, a Pentax ZX-50 with 35-80mm kit lens which was a graduation gift from my grandfather. I went back to photography this 2007 using my first Digital SLR a Nikon D50 with Nikkor Lens 18-55mm and Tamron Lens 70-300mm starter kit. I'm an I.T. Professional and the art of photography takes me to a new world that captures moments. This is a world of capturing those one in a million shot that's makes a difference. Hope all of you enjoy the images on my photoblog and portfolio. To all visitors feel free to comment. My interest in photography goes back during my childhood days wherein I always see my uncle carrying around his 35mm Yashica Film SLR. He would always bring it with him whenever he goes around or goes to travel. He makes his camera as if it was part of his body. I guess its more of a hobby of his to take pictures but never be included in the photo. That's why upon finishing my degree, I asked my grandfather to give me a film SLR as a gift for my graduation. What I got was a Pentax ZX-50 AF 35mm Silver Gray color which was my first SLR. As what my uncle did with his camera, I always bring my camera along with me during my travels. Film was really expensive way back 6 years ago and you have to shell out money to get those shots developed. Not unlike with Digital SLR today, no more developing just publish your pictures via the web or have your own photo printer. Now, I got myself a digital SLR, a Nikon D50 with 18-55mm lens as part of the kit when I purchased it last December 2006. Its been a long time since I haven't played around with an SLR. Digital SLR has still the same concept as of the 35mm. cameras. The medium changed from film to Secure Digital (SD) cards or Compact Flash (CF) cards which gives you flexibility, ease and more storage space unlike film you get a maximum of 36 shots. Its a new experience for me in photography since I had my first AF film SLR before and now I have my first digital SLR and another new experience once again. This shot is credited to my brother for he took his "first" shot with my first dlsr on this drink with the Chivas bottle on the background. Photography EquipmentNikon D50 |
